For when you're on a deserted beach that holds lots of mysteries within...

Inspired by Professor Layton, Final Fantasy, Critical Role and this work by Clara Daly.

Imagine an aerial view of a lantern lit fantasy city under the stars...

Inspired by Hi-Fi Rush

Imagine accidentally being merged with your iPod and using your new powers to rhythmically smash robots and take down a corporation from the inside... how good was Hi-Fi Rush??

Music:

Kalimba-centric, keeping things light and bouncy. Instrumentation builds dynamically as the tutorial progresses.

Sound Design:

Use of toy objects for sound effects like playing cards, RPG dice, a cardboard box full of LEGO, a 3DS game case, hair ties, an old guitar string, and my desk chair.

Gameplay courtesy of Games Without Music

Music:

Fantasy-Action-Rock. Live acoustic and electric guitars mixed with more operatic elements.

Sound Design:

Overhaul of player attacks and interactions. Lots of live recording to recreate elemental sounds (fan + rustling paper + whistling for wind, fireplace + shuffling a winter coat for fire, etc.)

Inspired by Paper Mario, Scott Pilgrim: The Game, A Short Hike

An intentionally eclectic collection of music to fit the world

Heavily comprised of live guitars + chiptune melodies made on LSDJ

All music above written, performed, recorded and produced by Kate Jacobs
